We had the know how to make deluxe shoes, we have been making them for years.

We had the best leather supplier, the best lasts and the best outsoles suppliers.

We wanted the best membrane, because we wanted it not only to be waterproof but also to be isothermal, to keep foot temperature stable winter and summer.

We checked the best known membranes, some of them were of an acceptable waterproof standard but not enough breathable, finally, we found it . But we were not happy, yet.

We wanted the shoes and boots to be waterproof even with extreme weather. So we study the best mountain boots behavior , the best of them were sealed on the sides by an accordion system.

Mountain boots technology applied on dress-up shoes!?

As far we knew nobody has done it before. We did it.

But mountain boots were very tight on the front , so toes suffer. Something to amend.

What is the second activity people do with shoes? First of course is walking, but second is driving. We studied both and find the equilibrium inside the shoe.

When we studied the mountain boots we discovered that some of well-known brands allowed the water in because there was not a waterproof insole. So we not only a waterproof insole but also waterproof stitching thread and waterproof laces.

We learned a lot when we study the waterproof high mountain boots in hard conditions and we applied to our dress up shoes. Probably the only brand in the world which has done it.

In 1926 Rolex was the first watch maker in the world to make a waterproof watch. Some other makers said :” Luxurywatches are made for diary use not to swim with them”. In 1927 a British swimmer crossed the Channel with a Rolex on her wrist.

We thought of being in a wedding.

Base of this example we developed the styles.

The groom:

Obviously different groom wear different style , but there is something that never fails , tradition. If the groom follows the classic, he always will be smart dressed. So the classic shoe for a groom clearly is a derby. If he wants something personal or original he can choose an original color, from navy to light brown. Black never fails , though. A plain derby is a must for the groom.

The godfather:

The chances are wider for him, but as before , following the classics , a club or cudgel derby is definitive.

The bride´s brother:

Even more wider are the possibilities in this case, from a plain derby to a brogue. A brogue is more for the office but a Bay Mallorca shinning brogue can do for the brother of the bride perfectly.

The friends:

Obviously anything even loafers are allowed, and in any color. But black is always a good choice. If they know what shoes are the groom wearing, please try not to match they. Or at least not the same shinning style.

The first step : Identify customers needs.

Two main questions were asked:

 1- What kind of clothes do you wear in your job?

2- What kind of footwear do you wear in your job?

Men who wear a suit at their job answered the first question very fast without thinking. But the answer to the second question was not that easy. Most answers came after more that 20 seconds thinking and very diverse.

 To those we asked another question:

What kind of footwear do you wear in winter at job?

They took 30 seconds and they doubted a lot.

Another question :

What is the most common footwear used at your company in winter when it rains or snow?

Most popular answer :

 “ I use my shoes and my feet stay wet till I go back home.“

 Our next answer: Are you confort at office? Everyone answered “NO”

 A very clever answer:

“If I walk to the company I wear rain boots and once in the office i change my shoes.“

Our next answer for them: Do you carry a bag for the rain boots? Yes

Are you confort carrying a bag for the rain boots? “No”

A question for all of them:

If there was a  pair very nice looking shoes which guaranty you feet dry during the day in winter and summer with any kind of weather, of a high quality traditional luxury brand , a pair of shoes to be proud of, would you buy them?

Most common answer : YES

Most clever answer:” Those shoes do not exist”.

Just one thing.

When it rains or snows they can not be worn.

So we though about famous watches, made of gold and diamonds but… you can only wash the hands without damage with very few of them.

And you can swim with an small part of this few, but, you can dive with less. And it is funny that you use the same watch for diving as in a wedding.

Luxury watches inspired us, one brand in particular. From that moment our aim was to create a pair of shoes that you could use for diving and in a wedding. Next step is to show our name at Roland Garros, Australian Open, USA Open and Winblendon.

At Roland Garros players leave their Rolex watch to play but they wear it again for the final dinner Roland Garros party. That is exactly our dream we wish all players to wear our shoes at Roland Garros but with a difference with Rolex , we also want our isothermal sneakers to be worn at Roland Garros tenis courts.
